Case closed #211 - Frozen. Mr. Cake Detective suggested an idea for an Elsa ice tornado. We are getting light on ideas for Frozen cakes around here. We hope that the 6 year old living with her koro enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it for her. . . Cake details - 6" Red Velvet cake with American Buttercream, glitter and rice paper sail.
Case closed #210 - Luck of the Irish. This cake is the first cake anyone has made for this person in their 17 years on this earth. These are the young people that it is our mission to reach. To be able to show how loved and valued they are to us as fellow humans is what I want them to feel when they receive their cake. This cake was referred by Real. Real believes mental wellness and wellbeing are possible for every young person. So they work alongside clinical services to support young people with acute mental health needs. There favourite colour is green and they like the idea of a bit more luck in this coming year. . . Case closed #209 - Sweet 16. This pretty number was for a sweet 16th for a young lady working with Te Waka Tamariki (Hamilton Children's Team). Some pretty white and pink roses and a touch of silver for a special birthday (every birthday is special). . . Case closed #208 - Among Us. This cake was for a 12 year old celebrating their birthday just after the new year. I have done a number of cakes for this family as they have both their own children and have other whanau in their care taking the family to ten. They are the loveliest family and I have enjoyed making all of their birthday cakes over the past year. This cake was kindly donated by Nick Barraclough. . . Cake details - 6” chocolate cake with American buttercream, fondant figures coloured in with edible pens and sprinkles. ⁣
