We find those children who are going through a hardship in the Waikato who are missing a birthday cake. We want to support the amazing agencies and caregivers to spread a little more love, kindness and fun on the children’s birthday.

Our Mission

Is to spread love and kindness with a birthday cake. To provide cakes for distribution to children under the age of eighteen (18) impacted by a difficult or challenging life event or circumstance including, but not limited to bereavement, poverty hardship, living in care (temporarily or permanently), physical or mental illness and/or disability (“having a rough time”) via organisations that support those children including, but not limited to; Kids in Need Waikato, The Mckenzie Centre, Oranga Tamariki, Real etc.Who doesn’t benefit from cake? No one. My aim is to gift one hundred plus birthday cakes a year.

Such a lot of thought and love goes into the special birthday cakes Laura makes for kids in care.
Some of these kids have never had their own birthday cake.
Laura makes these kids feel really special on their special day❤️

grandparents raising grandchildren

The grandparents take on the care of their grandchildren because they believe it is best for them to to be brought up within the family. But they do this while enduring huge personal sacrifice, stress and ongoing challenges - financially, physically and emotionally. Many of the children have special needs and suffer from psychological damage. The grandparents who take on these traumatized children need considerable help and support.

Parentline

We work with children who have been traumatised by abuse and domestic violence. We also provide advice and support to parents and caregivers and counselling for children who present with challenging behaviours in the classroom and playground. We are a Child Advocate and have a policy of zero tolerance to domestic violence.
